Matisa was born in Sarapiquí, Costa Rica, as the shared dream of two visionaries who believe that agriculture can be a powerful engine for sustainability and development. Inspired by the richness of the Costa Rican tropics and the transformative potential of the coconut, they set out to create an organic farm based on a circular economy model, where nothing is wasted and everything is returned to the land. From its earliest days, Matisa aimed to go beyond traditional agriculture by making full use of the fruit—beginning with ornamental plants.
